As collaboration has been a common theme for all of us lately, I’m finding that this is a growth edge for me. I’m used to doing things on my own–my own terms, timestamp, signature, processes, etc. It’s been a challenging journey to begin finding more enjoyment in the collaborative process, as everyone who is involved with a project has their own vision in mind.
A metaphor that has helped me find inspiration is that of everyone collaborating on the shared project are in a rowboat together, and ideally rowing in the same direction. While each of us in the boat has a different role of service, we are all working toward a common goal. Perhaps one is looking ahead for potential dangers and setting plans in place. Another is making the calls, and maybe another person is ready with a bail bucket for damage control. While all these roles of service are different, they are equally important in order to get where we want to go.
A collaboration I’ve been involved with lately is a project with my friend Jeff Dalin that I’m excited to share more about in the coming weeks. Full Spectrum Integration is the next level of offering I’ve dreamed of for a long time, born out of the Full Spectrum Medicine platform that was created several years ago. You’ll be hearing more about that soon. Here’s the cool thing: I didn’t have the bandwidth to bring it to life sooner, but I had the passion to see it birthed, so I’m collaborating with another amazing soul I know to make sure it comes into the world to be of service to the many.
I have had the honor of working with some amazing teams over the last year, with everybody in Full Spectrum Medicine, Thank You Life, and A Dose of Hope. And I do believe that it’s going to be a requirement for us to come into these more collaborative, mutually engaging relationships in the future, as that is where the highest levels of growth, success, and transformation can occur–when we are working together in synchronous collaboration.
