As we are coming into two years of a global pandemic, and now with the Omicron variant circulating around the globe, it’s hard to find a firm foundation of safety and security. It can be easy to get caught up in fear, for it seems to be everywhere we look. It may not seem like things are changing; however, it’s important to have faith and do your part.
A great reckoning always precedes great change. In order for us to establish a new baseline as a collective, we must first overcome our shortcomings. We as a society have been destabilized over the last couple of years: what was promised is not being delivered, and what we expected is not what’s here.
If we look at this from the perspective of any big ceremony, including the ceremony of life, how do we come into accord and ownership of our expectations and what’s in front of us?
If our expectations are not being met, do we then change our expectations? Do we accept what’s happening? Or do we work within the current zeitgeist to transform ourselves within the experience to actually grow our resiliency, increase our capacity, and re-vision and form our expectations into a new framework, a new world? That’s what the number 22 is all about– bringing the vision into manifestation, for there will be no going back to normal after this.
The significance of the number 22 is consistent throughout Egyptian numerology, Western numerology, and Eastern numerology. All of them refer to 22 as being the Master Architect and the Master Builder. It’s difficult to know what 2022 means in terms of architecting and building, as it’s difficult to architect and build anything unless you have a solid foundation, and we don’t have a solid foundation yet. Everything is going to massively change, and we don’t know what the full architecture of the future world is going to look like.
As any big ceremony goes, things are oftentimes uncomfortable in order to show us or help us reveal what our personal truths are. And perhaps this is true for the whole ceremony of life–perhaps this is what we’ve come in to do and to be a part of–to find our own truth, do our own truth-telling and truth-seeking, and to do so from a place of neutrality.
In the midst of this massive transition, the opportunity is to be present, grieve what’s been lost, and to vision a better world so that we may build it.
How do we start to build a better world? We must transmute our pain and suffering into love and healing. We must have faith in what is possible. Our faith is love, love being the most powerful, unifying force. And what needs to be healed is our experience of disconnection, which is separation from love. If we can work on healing the heart of humanity and building bridges through simple acts again–acts of kindness, compassion, generosity, or simply being transparent–our world will become a better place.
I invite you to seek out opportunities for doing simple acts whenever possible, and follow them through. It just might create a ripple effect, and right now, we need to make waves.
To your health,
Dr. Dan
